2 Abstract Paintings

36" x 12"

These are two paintings I did the other day...both abstract, and neither of them have names yet. My biggest challenge with these was that I did not have any white paint at my Dad's house...so I had to plan every stroke and use water thinning and paint removal techniques in order to have the white show through.

36" x 30"

So I'm back at my dad's right now until Sunday doing more packing. My grandpa and Aunt were just over and moved another load to Oshawa - so it's slowly, but surely moving over there.

Yesterday we went to the beach on Toronto Island...and of course it was soOo fun!!

Beach time!

The other day a few of us visited the beach in Sarnia (a.k.a. chemical city). Despite the fear of mutation, we had a great time!

Wait a sec...maybe the chemicals did do something...

It looks like the chems mixed with the sand and changed Bobby's body a *little*...are those breasts?!?

Why, Bobby... I never knew...

At about 6ish everyone else took off, but Fareen and I (top pic) stayed and played in the water a bit longer. Man it was hot that day, I think it went up to 37 degrees F!

Mother and Baby II (Painting)

Mother and Baby II
36" x 40"

this is a painting i did a few days ago while at my dad's house. lately i have been really into sketching moms & babies and it seems that on a level it's all i really want to paint. this one is # 2 in the series, but i have yet to complete # 1 (so far i only have a sketch of it).

i did a few abstract paintings since this one, but none of the pictures turned out. once i get good photos of them, i will put them up :)

Goodbye Home, Sweet Home

The biggest thing going on in my life right now is moving out of our family home. I love the place and I was just sent some of the pics that the realtor took. Sadly, most of my University friends never got to see our home, but these pictures only begin to show what I am so sad to leave behind…the house that my mom and I worked so hard on (mostly my mom).

But of course the saddest part is that in less than one month’s time, we will loose any sense of togetherness that comes from having a family home. My dad, my brother and I are all moving in our own separate ways. (of course my brother and I will be in contact!!)

Right now I am still packing my stuff up and have most of my room in boxes already. We are probably moving most of our long-term stuff into my grandpa’s place mid-August. Come September I will leave my uni. town and move in with family friends in B-town.

There is a lot of change going on right now, and some days I deal with it better than others. But all in all I know that this stuff has to happen. I am just sad that I will no longer have a lovely place that reminds me of my mom to call home.
